Wedding Updates

Last week, i went to my friend's wedding in Kulim. The bride and groom are my close friends and they have been solemnized on 11.11.11. Such a nice number, no? :)

Me and friends couldnt make it on that 11.11.11 itself, so we have only attended the reception. It was just another wedding that ive attended to. However, ive noticed that when we are getting married, we tend to examine all the details to every wedding a lil bit more. hehe..semua nak scrutinize, from pelamin, baju, kasut, food, pa system, hall deco...everything lah. and we start to make comparisons to OUR own soon-to-be wedding..hehe..am i the only one who felt this way? :)

anyhoo, last Sunday (12.11.2011),  ive managed to grab myself (or more appropriately, OURselves..hehe) the live bands that i have been eying on..THE RAW NOTES...

ive been particularly eying on azri from the raw notes coz i like the songs and how they have played the songs using the musical equipments..jazzy with a bit of classical hint..so after explanation by Jeff from the raw notes, ive made the booking for RM100 and another RM400 is to be settled by end of this month...another RM500 to be paid next year on May and the balance is of course, after the reception itself..

when i told my elder sis about it, she asked me to demo to her the songs by azri and the band..maybe the quality of the vid tak berapa bagus coz suara azri tenggelam dgn suara2 the guests..dengan gelak ketawanya...so we cant really hear his voice, and to top it off the songs that he sang was oldies songs, sorta slow and soothing..jazzy..

so sis said, tak sesuai la coz the selection of songs mcm lagu2 main dekat hotel lounge or coffe house...plus, tak berapa dgr.. i told her tgk pa system la. if pa system tak bagus then  mcm tu la bunyi dia..she asked me to google on azie and syed sobri. hello, they are artistes, i bet sure their service charge is thousands..sigh..takpelaa..so long as i have azri. maye i can work on the songlists..spice it up a lil bit...hehe...am considering p ramlee's songs :)

so, entertainment-settled :)

then we have also singgah D'Mawar Catering's booth...chit-chatted a bit but we found that D'Mawar is a tad bit expensive for our budget..terus i ajak my partner to go and see kak ros from Sri Payung..he has previously called Kak Ros before and from the way i see it, kak ros is friendly on the phone. the package that sri payung offers is also lebih byk drpd D'Mawar..so off we went to Sri Payung

Sri Payung is located dkt Taman Pandan Utama. The landmark is Masjid Al Falah. Very near to my house actually. Sampai-sampai, trus jumpa Kak Ros. She is one friendly lady, indeed. Full of tips and very kakak-kakak gitu. hehe. we instantly felt right at home talking and negotiating with her. chit-chatted and talked and after discussions, she gave us the quotations..

so, the quotation? very very reasonable :) siap ada kambing bakar lagi..hehe..

so all we need to do is to discuss with both parents and if everyting ok, pay the first RM500 to kak ros by end of december to lock the date :)

im not working today..so ive been hogging to the internet since morning..hehe..im currently surveying about tailors on the designs and price...and i saw this...

i like the material, the color, the hair, the flower, the bouquet..just like how ive always imagined myself on my engagement day :)

anyways, tgk dekat facebook all his (or is it her?pardon my buta-ness in the fashion-world..huhu) collections..cantik..but from the comments ive noticed it doesnt come with cheap prices..sighh..and i think syomir tu mcm sombong and arrogant je? from his/her facebook, several peeps asked on the prices and all and he/she replied in the most curtest way..thats rude, i think...hmm..jawap sepatah sepatah je and no sense of friendliness langsung? correct me if im wrong but i always feel that 1st appearance makes the biggest impact ok..

anyway, more research to do :)

Baju Tunang

last Monday, partner bought this mag for me :)

and suddenly, byk pulak dapat ideas for my dream baju tunang...

Plan B is something like this (minus the heavy beaded veil and the top yg banyak kerawang2 tu and also the material for this bride is a bit satiny for my liking whereas mine, material is heavy chiffon and the detailing will be focused on the leher part, the hujung lengan and maybe hujung top tu) :-

10.11.12-booked!!

hehe..

syukur alhamdulillah..went to the dewan today and checked..nobody has booked the dewan on 11.11.12.. :)

that means..i can be nikah'ed on 10.11.12 and have my recep on the next day on 11.11.12 :))

after re-booking our date, we went to mahligai cre.ativ.e and changed our date. alhamdulillah, it was all breeze.nobody has booked the date.we further clarified abt the caterer as well, i.e mahligai se.ler.a.....apparently the caterer is also under mahligai cre.ativ.e, but parents dia punya

the verdict : so-so

takpela, i have one year and two days to go and check for the best caterer..hopefully i can find one with a good deal..and paling penting the deal includes meja and kerusi...

then went to jakel, got stucked there with desperate salesgirl who desperately wanted  us to purchase the kain and desperately didnt want to let us go..i was put in a very very uncomfortable situation, what with the salesgirl really pushing her luck for me to buy the kain and with the partner who constantly gave me the evil stare when i was about to melt with the offer..huhu... in the end, he won. we left without buying anything, not that we want to anyway.but the good thing is we now know our budget for our kain tunang. :)

our tunang punya theme colour : champagne..so we tried to mix and match the kain..from rm700+, they can give us rm450 and that is for both lelaki and perempuan..best ok!...i am solddd already but partner, being the ever sensible one, asked me to sabar and tungguu...huhu...so tunggu we will :)

also, go-see this one kwsan perumahan in kampung lanchong, in the township of so-called subang jaya..why i purposely put there 'so-called' is because it is not really in the township of subang i think, mcm dah ke ulu sgt dah..purchase price is rm330k..my view : definitely not a good investment. dahla ulu sgt, then it is constructed right smack out of nowhere..dahla jauh from the town, jalan masuk dan keluar ada satu je, which is such a turn-off coz jalan tu betul2 mcm nak masuk ke kampung...no-no u-uh..BIG NO NO..kensell

then, went to one damansara coz we intended to check on the progress (sebenarnya nak kuatkan hati ni takmo tgk rumah lain..hehe)..found out that dah naik level 6 dah..yeayy :) really hope that we can masuk the house in december :)


lepas tu, jln2 that area and found one new residential township with nice double-storey houses. most of the purchase price that we have inquired by calling the agent is around the range of rm7++k..huwaaaa :( terus down kejap as it has been my longtime dream to own a landed property.. :( partner comforted me with his ayat2 bunga and i was calmed :)


after that, jumpa our photog n videographer. major problem. we wanted to change the date but apparently ada org dah book and paid the depo before us and that couple's wedding is also on the very same date that we have chosen.huwaaaa...its only ethical that the couple should be given the priority but still, I WANT MY PHOTOG & VIDEOG..met the owner and his wife and they are such a pleasing lot, friendly and warm. but too bad we have to let them ago or if we intend to keep them, we can only use their services for photog only..the couple who booked them first on that day can only re-confirm their dates by early next month, whether they are going to use my photog &videog on 10.11.12 & 11.11.12 or 09.11.12 & 10.11.12... so i guess we need to pray hard and just wait of there is rezeki on our part to use them instead of the first couple...


all in all, such a profitable day
